help information
The size of the audience is the
maximum number of people you expect at your event. A sound system must be tailored
to the maximum size in order to ensure there is adequate capacity.
The location is
the type of venue the event will be in. It helps determine the type of sound
system that will work properly in the venue.
indoor (hall):
includes school / town halls, gymnasiums, churches or any large indoor venue
that has a lot of 'echo'. indoor
(room):
includes function rooms, houses, or any room where the ceiling height is
low. outdoor
(open):
includes fields, parks etc where there is a large open space with no large
objects to reflect sound. outdoor
(stadium):
any enclosed outdoor area such as a stadium, park surrounded by trees or
buildings.
The number of
days is the length of time the event will run for. If you have an event that
lasts 3 days then select 3. It also includes any rehearsal or practice days.
The type of
event determines how much power the system will need. Music requires much
more power to reproduce than speech. speech
only:
no music will be required or the music will be background only. speech
systems are used for conferences, outdoor events and public address. music
(band):
band sound systems require the most power of all sound systems. you could
also select this option if you wanted a very powerful dance music system. music
(DJ):
DJ systems are used to play music to dance to. They include CD playback but
don't necessarily require you to hire a DJ as well. music
(background):
background music is used to enhance atmosphere. choose this if you know your
event won't require dance music. production:
includes stage shows, musicals, spectaculars or similar performances.
